I have always seen fried green beans on the menus at restaurants but never felt like trying them. We are snowed in right now, and I got the craving for something crunchy and savoury. I thought now is the perfect time to give a green bean fry a try. I got to work with the garlic, parmesan, and panko bread crumbs, and magic happened.
1 lb green beans
1 cup panko breadcrumbs
½ cup Parmesan cheese
1 Tbsp. garlic powder
2 eggs
½ cup flour
Preheat air fryer to 390°F.
Rinse green beans.
Coat green beans in flour.
Whisk eggs.
Dip each green bean in the eggs.
Mix together Parmesan, panko bread crumbs, and garlic powder.
Dip green beans in panko mix coat the green beans well.
Place in air fryer on 390°F for 5 minutes or until golden brown.
Sprinkle with additional Parmesan cheese.
Makes 6 servings.
Cook's Notes: You can skip the flour if need be it does help the eggs to stick to the beans.
