Rudolph Celery Snacks

rudolphcelerysnacksHealthy Holiday snacks for kids don't have to be boring. Surprise your little ones with these Rudolph Celery Snacks. They are easy, healthy and quick to make.

4 (3") large ribs celery
peanut butter
twist pretzels
24 tiny edible candy eyes
12 cranberries

Cut off the back of each celery stick. Check photos for reference. This will help the sticks stay in place.

Fill each celery stick with peanut butter. Apply little bit more peanut butter, where the pretzel sticks will go.

Then, break the pretzels and stick them into the peanut butter.

Add eyes and a nose and repeat until you have used all celery sticks.

Serve right away or shortly after you make them.

Cook's Notes:

  • Pat dry the celery with a paper kitchen towel before spreading the peanut butter over. 3" (7.5 cm).
  • Peanut butter can be substituted with Nutella or hazelnut spread of your choice. Hummus is also a great alternative, if your kids like it.
  • For the nose use anything you like: fresh, frozen, dried cranberries, M&M's, red Skittles, fresh raspberries, red smarties or any red-coloured button-shaped candy.
  • I recommend serving these right (or shortly) after you make them to avoid the pretzels going soft. Dependent on what you use for the nose, this can also start melting after a while.
  • This recipe can be easily halved/doubled or tripled.
