Tequila Slammer

This tequila shot is a fun party drink. The key is to slam the drink after activating the fizz of the soda by slamming the shot glass on the bar. It is also called a Tequila Boom Boom, Tequilazo or Popper.

1 oz tequila
1 oz ginger ale or lemon-lime soda

Pour the ingredients into a shot glass.

Cover the glass with a napkin and your hand.

Slam the glass on the bar counter.  Drink while it's still fizzing.
