Parmesan Cheese Crackers with Bacon and Ranch Dressing

baconparmesancrackersIf you grew up in a snack household, get ready to be amazed. Ready in under an hour, these Bacon Parmesan Crackers are the easiest appetizer to whip together (it even works in the air fryer.). These bites are a salty, savoury dream, and a classic at parties that people won't be able to stop reaching for. With just three ingredients, it's tough to find an easier (or cheaper) alternative. We paired ours with ranch dressing (because duh), but you can also dunk these babies in a sour cream and onion dip for a creamy match made in heaven. A few things to note: Don't worry if your bites come out a little cracked. That's part of the fun, and totally normal. Plus, the bacon wrap should do its duty of holding everything together. If you're worried about it, check back in on the bites every now and then to see how they're coming along as they bake. As long as the bacon is cooked through, you can pull them out from the oven whenever you like. For a sweeter variation, use maple-smoked bacon and add a light drizzle of honey to your crackers, or for a spicy note, top with a dash of hot sauce. It's your party. Make it as sweet or spicy as you like.

1 pkg bacon strips, cut in half
32 club crackers
½ cup Parmesan cheese, freshly grated
black pepper, freshly ground
Ranch Dressing, for dipping

Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C/160°C fan, Gas Mark 4) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.

Arrange crackers on baking sheet and sprinkle with Parmesan. Tightly wrap each cracker with bacon and place seam-side down, then top with more Parmesan.

Bake until bacon is cooked through and bites are crispy, 45-48 minutes.

Season with pepper and serve with ranch for dipping.

For Air Fryer:
Sprinkle crackers with Parmesan. Tightly wrap each cracker with bacon and place seam-side down on a baking sheet, top with more Parmesan.

Arrange crackers in basket of air fryer, working in single layer batches of 5 or 6, spaced at least ¼" apart, as necessary to not overcrowd the basket. Cook until bacon is cooked through and bites are crispy, about 10 minutes, flipping halfway through.

Season with pepper and serve with ranch for dipping.

Makes 6 servings.
