Chile Oil Croûtons (Oven-Baked)
Making your own croûtons is much easier than you’d think - and much tastier than store-bought ones, not to mention a great way to use up less-than-fresh bread.
4 thick slices white bread, trimmed
2 Tbsp. chile oil
sea salt
pepper, freshly cracked
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C/170°C fan, Gas Mark 5).
Cut bread slices into ¾" cubes. In a bowl toss with chile oil; season with salt and pepper and transfer to a baking sheet.
Bake for 12-15 minutes.
