1 cup ketchup
⅓ cup pure honey
¼ cup unsalted butter
2 Tbsp. lemon juice, freshly squeezed (from 1 lemon)
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 lemon slices
Bring ketchup, honey, butter, lemon juice, and Worcestershire sauce to a boil in a small saucepan over medium. Reduce heat to low and add lemon slices. Simmer 30 minutes.
Remove from heat; remove and discard lemon slices.
Cool to room temperature, about 30 minutes. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks.
Makes 1½ cups.
