Pig Dip BBQ Sauce (Eastern North Carolina)
Shane Draper is an expert pitmaster who crafts some amazing rubs and sauces, this is his favourite Eastern Carolina BBQ Sauce Recipe. Refrigerate for 1-2 days before using so that the flavours have time to meld. Shake occasionally, and store for up to 2 months in the refrigerator.
4 cups distilled vinegar
2 cups ketchup
½ cup brown sugar
8 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
4 tsp. sea salt
1 Tbsp. Paprika
1 tsp. hot sauce, such as; Frank's Red Hot
1 tsp. black pepper, freshly cracked
In a medium-sized nonreactive bowl, combine all the ingredients and whisk to combine.
Makes 6½ cups of sauce.
