Guacamolé (Tomato and Jalapeño)

guacamoletomatojalapenoA tried and true guacamole recipe that’s easy to make, uses fresh ingredients and is loaded with flavour. It’s the best guacamole dip hands down. Adjust the amount of jalapeño according to the heat you desire.

2 large avocados
1 medium Roma tomato, seeded and diced
½ red onion, minced
½ jalapeño, seeded and minced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 lime, freshly juiced
sea salt
black pepper, freshly cracked
fresh cilantro, chopped, optional

To Serve:
tortilla chips

Slice the avocados in half, removed the pit and skin and place in a medium bowl. Mash the avocado with a fork and make it as chunky or smooth as you’d like. Add tomato, red onion, jalapeño, garlic, lime juice, salt, and pepper. Mix together until fully incorporated.

Top with cilantro and serve with tortilla chips.

Makes 8 servings.
