Greek Seasoning
Greek seasoning blend is made with simple pantry staples and is perfect for sprinkling on fish, chicken, and veggies. Prepare a big batch to save money and avoid unhealthy chemicals or additives found in store-bought seasoning blends. No MSG, no anti-caking agent, only ingredients you trust.
3 Tbsp. dried oregano
2 Tbsp. dried basil
1 Tbsp. dried dill
2 Tbsp. onion powder
2 Tbsp. garlic powder
½ Tbsp. sea salt
1 Tbsp. black pepper, freshly ground
Stir together all ingredients and mix well.
Store in a sealed, airtight container and store in a cool, dark place for up to a year.
Makes ½ cup.
Cook's Notes:
- Create a marinade by combining 2 Tbsp. seasoning with 1 Tbsp. lime juice and 1 Tbsp. olive oil per lb of meat.
- This recipe makes close to ½ cup but can easily be doubled or tripled and stored long term.
