Tartar Sauce (English)

britishtartarsauceA traditional tartar sauce served in fish and chip shops throughout the UK.

1 cup mayonnaise
1 Tbsp. capers, chopped
1 Tbsp. cornichons, chopped
2 Tbsp. flat-leaf parsley leaves, finely chopped
½ lemon, freshly juiced
dash hot sauce

In a small mixing bowl, combine all ingredients.

Chill before serving to let the flavors marry.

Makes about 1¼ cups.
