Tartar Sauce with Taragon
Tartar sauce made at home stands far apart from the jarred kind. This herbed version is perfect for dunking fried shrimp -- and more.
1 cup mayonnaise
3 Tbsp. sweet relish
1 Tbsp. lemon juice, freshly squeezed
3 Tbsp. capers, rinsed
1 Tbsp. fresh tarragon, chopped
1 tsp. coarse sea salt
1/8 tsp. pepper, freshly cracked
Stir together mayonnaise, relish, lemon juice, capers, tarragon, salt, and pepper in a medium bowl.
Sauce can be refrigerated in an airtight container, up to 1 week.
Makes about 1¼ cups.
