Ham and Cheese Quiche (Puff Pastry)
Puff pastry makes this Ham and Cheese Quiche so easy. No dough to prep, just press into the pan, fill and bake - perfect for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, or any holiday brunch.
1 sheet puff pastry, thawed but cold, if frozen, let thaw in the fridge for 24 hours
½ cup milk
4 large eggs
½ tsp. sea salt
1 cup ham, cooked, diced
¾ cup cheese, freshly shredded, divided
2 green onions, sliced
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C/180°C fan, Gas Mark 6) and lightly grease an 8-9″ pie plate.
Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface with a rolling pin, you want it to be slightly larger than the pie dish.
Add puff pastry to the prepared pie plate and trim off corners to make it rounder. You can use the trimmed pieces to add more crust to the edges or for decoration, if you like.
In a medium bowl (or large measuring cup with a spout), whisk together milk, eggs and salt.
Sprinkle the ham, ½ cup cheese and green onions on top of the pastry. Pour the egg mixture over top and sprinkle with remaining ¼ cup cheese.
Bake for 25-35 minutes until pastry is golden brown and eggs are completely set.
Makes 6 servings.
