Prosciutto and Broccoli Quiche with Cheddar

prosciuttobroccoliquichecheddarOur Prosciutto and Broccoli Quiche recipe is so simple to make with eggs, prosciutto. sharp cheddar and veggies inside a flaky pie crust. It's one of my favourite savoury brunch recipes.

6 large eggs
1 cup half-and-half cream
1½ cups broccoli florets, chopped into small pieces
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, freshly grated
1 pinch sea salt
¼ tsp. black pepper, freshly cracked
3 thin slices prosciutto
1 pie crust

Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C/160°C fan, Gas Mark 4).

Cut prosciutto into small pieces. Spray a nonstick pan with oil and turn the heat to medium. Once the pan is hot, add the prosciutto and cook until they are crispy. Transfer to a plate with a paper towel on it to absorb extra grease.

Whisk the eggs and milk together in a bowl. Add the chopped broccoli, garlic, minced, ¾ cup of cheese, salt and pepper. Gently mix everything together.

Unroll your pie crust and place it in your pie pan. Pour the egg mixture into the crust.

Top with crispy prosciutto and the remaining cheese.

Bake for 1 hour, or until the center has set. Let it cool for about 5 minutes and then dig in.
