Figs Wrapped in Bacon
The meaty bacon plus the sweet, floral, honeyed fig is such a good combination. You will find it will be hard to stop eating them.
6 figs, washed and peeled
6 slices bacon
sea salt
black pepper, freshly cracked
Heat toaster oven to broil and line the toaster oven tray with foil.
Wrap each fig in a strip of bacon, trimming the bacon as necessary, and secure with a toothpick. Season with salt and pepper and place on the toaster oven tray.
Bake for about 8-10 minutes until the bacon is crisp and the figs are tender.
Makes 2 servings.
