Delicious juiced or as an appetizer honeydews are a favourite among many.
Nutrition: Honey dews are fat free; saturated fat free; very low in sodium; cholesterol free and high in vitamin C.
How to Select: Choose well shaped honeydew melons that are nearly spherical. Should have a waxy, not fuzzy surface and feel heavy for size.
How to Store: Store honeydew melons in refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. Like most melons, honeydews taste better if left unrefrigerated for a few days.
