Make this holiday ham a favourite family tradition as you create wonderful memories with your loved ones. This festive Instant Pot Ham makes a striking beautiful centerpiece to feed a crowd for any special occasions including Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Dinner.

1 (8.6 lb) 7" thick bone-in butt portion ham (3921 g)
1 (14 oz) can pineapple (398 mL)
¼ cup pure honey (63 g)
¼ cup brown sugar (50 g)
2 Tbsp. Dijon mustard (30 mL)

Thickener:
2.5 Tbsp. cornstarch (22.5 g)
3 Tbsp. cold water (45 mL)

Pressure Cook Ham:
Add 1 (14 oz or 398 mL) can of pineapples and 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) Dijon mustard in Instant Pot. Give it a quick mix. Layer a stainless steel trivet and place ham on top. Drizzle ¼ cup (63 g) honey all over the top of the ham.

Pressure Cook at High Pressure:

  • 8-9 lbs Bone-in Uncut Ham: 20 minutes + 30 minutes Natural Release
  • 6-7 lbs Bone-in Uncut Ham: 15 minutes + 30 minutes Natural Release
  • Spiral Ham (Cut Ham): 3 minutes + 20 minutes Natural Release will be warm enough

Check internal temperature at its' thickest part with an accurate food thermometer.

*Pro Tip: 95°F (35°C) - 110°F (43°C) is plenty hot enough to serve a piece of ham. Especially with some hot pineapple sauce! If for some reason, the ham is at 80°F (27°C), place the lid back on and pressure cook the ham at High Pressure for another 5 minutes and 10 minutes Natural Release.

Make Honey Pineapple Sauce:
Rest ham on a large chopping board or serving bowl (the internal temperature will continue to rise).

Bring the sauce back to a simmer by pressing the "Cancel" button, then "Sauté" button. Taste and gradually add in brown sugar to desired sweetness.

*Pro Tip: You will want it to be quite sweet to balance the salty smoky ham flavour (for reference, we added roughly ¼ cup (50 g) brown sugar).

Mix 2.5 Tbsp. (22.5 g) cornstarch with 3 Tbsp. (45 mL) cold water in a small mixing bowl. Add the cornstarch mixture one third at a time to thicken the yummy honey pineapple sauce until desired thickness.

Serve Ham with Honey Pineapple Sauce:
Cut the juicy and warmed Instant Pot Ham with a sharp knife and a fork. Serve it with the yummy Honey Pineapple Ham Sauce.

Makes 8-12 servings.
