Spiced Peanuts
Liven up plain peanuts with a sweet-and-spicy blend of flavours from sugar, cumin and ground cayenne pepper. You'll want to double or triple this spicy peanuts recipe.
1 (16 oz) jar unsalted dry-roasted peanuts
2 Tbsp. Canola oil
2 Tbsp. sugar
1½ tsp. ground cumin
1 tsp. sea salt
½ tsp. ground cayenne pepper
½ tsp. garlic powder
Preheat an oven to 300°F (150°C/130°C fan, Gas Mark 2).
Place peanuts in a small bowl; drizzle with oil and toss to coat. Combine sugar and seasonings; sprinkle over nuts and toss to coat.
Transfer to an ungreased 10x15x1” baking pan.
Bake for 20-25 minutes or until lightly browned, stirring occasionally.
Spread on waxed paper to cool. Store in an airtight container.
