Macaroni, Beef and Tomato (Slow-Cooker)

A super easy recipe that your kids will love. Change it up by adding different vegetables like carrots and celery.

1 lb lean ground beef or ground turkey
1 large onion, diced
1 green or red bell pepper, seeded and diced
3-4 garlic cloves, minced
1 (14½ oz) can diced tomatoes
1 (14½ oz) can tomato sauce
1 (14½ oz) can water (from tomato can)
1 small can tomato paste
2-3 bay leaves
sea salt
black pepper, freshly ground
1-2 tsp. crushed red chilli flakes (optional)

1 lb (16 oz) pkg elbow macaroni
Parmesan cheese, freshly grated

In a large sauté pan set to medium heat add beef and cook for about 4 minutes. Add in onion and pepper for about 3 more minutes then add garlic for another few minutes.

Drain any excess fat and add mixture into the slow cooker. Add diced tomatoes, sauce, water and paste and stir together.

Cover and cook on LOW for 5-6 hours.

30 minutes before you are ready to serve, add in your pasta and using a spoon stir all ingredients together.

Serve with Parmesan cheese.
