Glazed Carrots

glazedcarrotsmsThis easy glazed carrot recipe delivers on flavour. The winning side calls for just a few ingredients and takes less than 30 minutes to make. Everyone will enjoy this dish when you serve it on a weeknight or as part of your Thanksgiving dinner. Just be sure to cut the carrots into pieces that are approximately the same size to ensure they all cook evenly.

9 carrots (1½ lbs)
1 Tbsp. sugar
½ cup water
2 Tbsp. butter
½ tsp. sea salt
¼ tsp. black pepper, freshly ground

Quarter and cut carrots into 2" lengths.

In a skillet, bring carrots, sugar, water, butter and salt to boil. Reduce heat; simmer, partly covered, 6 minutes.

Cook uncovered, over high, tossing often until tender, 3-4 minutes. Season with pepper.

Makes 4 servings.
