Cranberry Honey Butter (American South)
Lovely citrus, cranberry flavours meld with a dash of cinnamon and honey for a sweet buttery treat.
½ cup butter, softened
2 Tbsp. dried cranberries, finely chopped
2 Tbsp. pure honey
1 dash ground cinnamon
1 orange, freshly zested
Stir together all ingredients in a small bowl. Place on a piece of parchment paper or plastic wrap and roll into a 1½x2" log. Wrap and refrigerate until ready to use. Cut into ¼" thick slices to serve.
Perfect Pairings:
Jazz up roasted or baked sweet potatoes or spread on hot biscuits. Rub under the skin of chicken or the holiday turkey. Or, top pork chops with a dollop before serving.
