Steak Bites with Garlic Butter Potatoes (Montréal Steak Seasoning)

steakbitesgarlicbutterpotatoes3Tender, juicy pieces of sirloin and baby potatoes are tossed with seasoning and coated in an irresistible garlic butter sauce to make these Steak Bites and Potatoes. Ready in under 30 minutes, this easy steak dinner is perfect for any night of the week.

2 Tbsp. butter, divided
1 Tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil, divided
1 lb baby potatoes, halved or quartered, no bigger than 1" wide pieces
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp. dried oregano
1 tsp. dried rosemary
½ tsp. coarse sea salt
½ tsp. black pepper, freshly ground
2 Tbsp. butter
1½ lbs sirloin steak, cut into small 1" cubes
1 tsp. Montréal seasoning, divided

Season the steak with the Montréal steak seasoning, set aside.

Warm 2 Tbsp. butter and olive oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Once shimmering, add in the potatoes, garlic, oregano, rosemary, salt and pepper. Arrange the potatoes so they lay flat, cut-side down.

Cook for about 4-5 minutes. Stir and cook for another 4-5 minutes or until fork tender. Remove potatoes from the pan and set aside in a bowl.

Increase the heat to medium-high and warm 2 Tbsp. butter. Once shimmering, place steak in the skillet in a single layer (you may need to cook in batches, depending on the size of your pan.) Cook undisturbed for 1 minute, then cook for another 3 minutes or so, stirring occasionally, until the steak is golden brown on all sides. (Repeat with remaining meat, if needed.)

Reduce heat to medium, add the potatoes back into the skillet, toss and heat through, then serve.

Makes 4-6 servings.
